Construction of a new 2 storey Post Primary School on a live school campus located outside Cavan town. Total area of the new school was 5,750m² approx. The existing buildings (c. 3,000m²) were demolished, including the 5 storey St. Patrick’s College, adjoining two storey assembly hall, gate lodge and prefab building to the rear.

As the gable end of the Diocesan Centre is a listed structure, due care was taken during the demolition process to protect this element. The gable end was restored to its original limestone finish with timber sash windows to match the existing structure. The works were phased to ensure little or no disruption to staff, students or parents.
